Will had his 9 month checkup a couple weeks ago and he was in the 65th percentile for height but only the 20th percentile for weight! The doctor said not to be worried about it, but I AM!!! He is so skinny, I want a fat chubby baby! I still nurse him about 4-5 times a day and then I feed him baby food / finger food 3 times a day and sometimes a snack in the afternoon. He eats good and I know that he is probably just burning off all those calories crawling all over the house, but still there has to be a way to fatten him up. So, what was your feeding schedule/menu like when you were feeding a 9-10 month old? Any advice would be helpful!
Here is a little video showing just how crazy this kid is. He was scooting along the fireplace and his little legs looked so funny I started laughing at him and he started tripping out, so I pulled out my phone to see if I could get it on tape. It's not quite as funny as the first time and starts off slow, but still pretty funny!

Listen to your DR. As long as he is gaining weight he is fine. Sounds like you are feeding him pretty good. Some babies are not fat and chubby but.... They catch up. Anna was in the 5th % when she was a baby... Both in height and weight. Kat was chubby until I weined her and then she lost a pound and I got yelled at by my dr. OOPS. I guess she needed to eat more.
:) Maybe your should eat more Ice cream and fattening stuff to fatten up your milk :):):)
Don't worry Angie--he's healthy and energetic. I had 5 children, 3 fat and chubby and 2 long and skinny. Kathy and Jennifer were in the 20th % in weight! You sound like you are feeding him great! In a few months you'll be able to throw in all that cheese/milk products and he'll fatten up naturally but I wouldn't worry about it!! You're doing a great job!
Your CRAZY BABY video is hysterical! Does Will even know what he's laughing about? It cracks me up when babies get tickled. He's such a happy little boy! I like the fireplace cover. Has he climbed up it yet? No??? It will be his favorite spot pretty soon. :)
Hey seriously, do not worry. My son Asher is not even ON the charts. He's so skinny that for a while doctors were really concerned, but he is perfectly healthy. If your DOC says not to worry--don't. With so many kids getting really serious health problems as a result of childhood obesity but grateful that you've got a little guy. And if you're still worried about his weight at his 12 mo check up ask your doc about Pediasure--it's expensive but it does add about a million calories to their diet. Don't give it to him before he's a year though because it's milk based and then only if the doc gives the go-ahead.
Aww....Will is soooo cute!! I love that video. He is WAY more active then lazy baby Cole!
I wouldn't worry about his weight. I am sure that he is just fine!!
I know that we are horrible at updating our blog this year but come on is that really reason to take us off your Blogs We Read section. I am so sad :(
Thanks for all the advice and making me feel better. It's crazy how you stress about every little thing as a parent!
Jessie, your blog is on my list, you just have to hit "Show All". I was tired of my huge blog list, so I have it showing the most recent 10 blogs. If you ever write a post again, then you'll jump right up to the top! :) I did lose a few on my list, though when I put up the new blog layout.
