Beach Bums

Here are some pictures from our trip to the beach with our friends Nick and Jess. The weather wasn't that great but we had a really fun and relaxing time. I finished reading "The Host" on the trip which was good for me, but boring for John! The trip, as with all vacations, ended way too soon. I wish I was still at the beach, instead of at my computer where I always am . . .

Mother's Day Flowers

I know this is late, but I just wanted to post this beautiful flower arrangement that Mayumi (Designs by Mayumi) created for my mother. The picture really doesn't capture how stunning the arrangement was! Mayumi does great work and always brings the most beautiful arrangements to display at church! My mother loved the flowers, she couldn't get over how pretty they were! Isn't she so cute!

As a side note, I had to change my opening song on the blog to "Imagine" to honor David A. who totally killed in the American Idol finals last night. Love the song, hope he wins!!! We are a house divided, though. John still wants David C. to win! Uh oh, All the Bob and Sheri callers this morning have said that they voted a bunch of times for David C., one lady voted 400 times, crazy!!! It may be an upset!!!

I love to sing

Guys.....I want some advice here. I've been a huge fan of A.I. (American Idol) for a while. I'm thinking about trying out this next season. I sing all the time. I know so many songs it's not even funny. I sing to the radio and have a pretty nice collection of C.D.'s (Compact Discs). You name the song and I will sing it in at least 3 different languages. Music is my passion and David Archalletta is my hero.

Isn't she lovely

Can you believe that John went and saw David's new baby with out me!!! He got to hold her first, no fair!!! Here are some cute pictures. The quality isn't great because they were taken on a camera phone.

No, John isn't choking the baby, just holding her head up!

I'm no superman . . .

So, I LOVE Scrubs! It hasn't always been that way. I used to think it was really dumb and I'm not really sure what changed, but now I think it is hilarious! I love how nutty and wacky everyone is. We own all the seasons on DVD (along with The Office, How I Met Your Mother, Lost, Friday Night Lights in case anyone wants to borrow).

So here are John and my two all time favorite clips. The first is Turk showing off his dance skillz and the second is Elliot schooling Turk on Snoop Dogg.

Usually only John gets to see this!

I've been working at home for about a month now and so far it has been pretty great! I'm still getting used to the change and there are some downsides. It's been a little tough learning the systems on my own especially when the main form of communication is email and instant messenger. I am starting to get the hang of it though. Sometimes it can be really boring with out any coworkers to gossip with or to discuss tv shows (lost, the office) with :( Another downside is that my family doesn't actually think I work. My sister called the other day and left me a message that said, "Hey, this is your sister. You'd better call me back because I know that you are at home and not doing anything!" My mom is always coming down to my house to try to plant flowers because she has run out of space at her house. She also tries to get me to take her shopping. Come on people, I swear I really am working! Also my dogs are constantly staring at me through the glass in the back door with sad eyes pleading me to play with them or take them for a walk, poor pups :( One last annoying this is that since John has to get up before me, as soon as he gets out of the shower he starts singing in a really high pitched annoying voice, "Time to get up in the morning." Ok, so I am not a morning person, and this drives me CRAZY!!!

On the flip side here are a few good things about working at home. I get to sleep later, yay! I can get stuff done around the house during the time I used to be commuting home from work. I'm saving gas, although not that much because John and I used to car pool. I'm saving money on lunch because I eat at home. I can now exercise at lunch or take the dogs for a walk or take a nap! I can listen to music, podcasts, or books on tape and not have to wear headphones! I can surf the web freely without someone in infosec scrutinizing my web usage. I'm sure there are other great things that I am forgetting to write, but the best thing is that I get to work like this and nobody cares:

Awesome!
